This is rather old information, but my experience is that the diving around the West side of the Island (i.e. were Stone Town is) is not so good. However, people joining us on snorkelling did see turtles, so it may just have been some of these unlucky moments. Please note that coral bleaching did affect this area badly after 1998 as well. Finally on a very positive note is the quality and size of the lobsters, in the local restaurants that is. |
