Copy/paste text before submitting it.
When filling out forms in a browser (and this applies everywhere on the internet) it is always a good idea to copy/paste your text in a text editor before pressing a submit button. Especially when writing long stories, it can be a real setback if the submission of the info doesn't work. If a connection times out, or a browser crashes, all your fine input is gone. If you copy it into memory or in a text editor first, you can easily copy it into the form again later. Back to top

Using the search from wide to narrow
When using the advanced search form, we recommend that you try a wide search first, so specify as little criteria as possible, before narrowing down the results. This way you can avoid missing a good spot. The more criteria you set, the smaller the chance of getting divebases back. However, try to avoid searching on all animals for all regions, since this will put a heavy workload on the server. Back to top
