Description:
This quickly developing island offers access to some superb divesites. The small town of Saladan already hosts up to 9 divecenters, that all organise day trips. Due to the distance to most popular divesites, a two-tank divetrip will easily take up to 8 hours. Given that the divesite of Hin Muang and Hin Daeng are by some rated among "the top 10 divesites in the world", this time spent on a boat might be well worth it. Due to the fact that the diveseason only lasts for 6 months, most prices are a bit higher than in the Gulf of Thailand, to make up for the six months in the rainy season.
