Description:
Kihei is located left of the center of the Island, on the southe-west coast where the thinner part of the Island connects the two volcanoes. Maui has lots of nice shore diving, directly of the white sandy beaches. Popular boat diving spots are Molokini atoll or the Lanai Cathedrals. Due to the many marine reserves there are plenty places where the underwater marinelife is nearly undisturbed from fishing activities. The Island hosts a lot of dive operators so there is plenty of healthy competition to take you around. For Green turtle fans, the North-West coast is a must, since here you can simply snorkle with them just 100 metres off the coast.
