Three hundred miles off Costa Rica's shore; to be reached by live-a-board only. Some of the boats are pulled out of service from mid-September to October for repairs.

Seasonality: Year round destination, but November untill May are best diving conditions. For pelagics and sharks, however, wet season from June through October is best.

Scallopped Hammerhead sharks
Shoaling hammerheads regularly swarm around certain of these islets particular on the dive site called Dirty Rocks. This is definitely the most reliable hammerhead site on earth.
