Description:
A small village in the middle of Pemba Island. The beachless Island offers some of the most spectacular diving in Africa. Situated 35 miles off the East African coast, Pemba is separated from Tanzania and Kenya by the world famous Pemba Channel. This drops to 400 fathoms in depth giving the ocean around Pemba many stunning dive sites. Huge Pelagics! Feeding grounds! Drop-offs and channels will charm your eyes as you dive. Apart from the diving, there are not too many activities found here. And the fact that there are no sandy beaches of any kind might limit the possibilities for those that are not diving. On various daily dive trips, however, a stopover can be made on one of the small sandy beaches on nearby islands.
